The Perkins School is an independent preschool through grade five school located in Northeast Seattle. For 60 years, the Perkins School has offered age-appropriate and challenging curriculum. A place where children feel at home...
Perkins is a child-centered environment.
Our goal is to encourage a hunger for knowledge and a zest for learning by providing children with what they need to thrive.

Small
class size, exceptional teachers...
Children learn best in small classes, where they are known and appreciated as individuals. Perkins' small class size, limited to fifteen students at the grade school and ten at the preschool, fosters learning and social growth. Our experienced teachers incorporate a variety of teaching techniques, ensuring that each child's learning style is addressed and enhanced.

A broad & integrated approach...
Perkins interdisciplinary approach builds bridges between subject areas, rather than teaching them in isolation. Faculty work closely together to design and implement curriculum in our classrooms.

| Core
Classes (language arts,

are closely linked to Enrichment
Classes (science, music,
visual art, technology, library & research,
character education, French, physical
education, drama, and cooking) to foster
broad-reaching
understanding
of the world around us.
